Exciting Night at Nachtaktiv

The ERL took center stage at the recent Nachtaktiv event held at the Sukkulenten-Sammlung Zürich museum on April 18, 2024. Themed "Plant World," the event was a vibrant celebration of biodiversity and innovation, inviting attendees to dive into the fascinating realm of environmental science and innovative technologies.

Nachtaktiv, renowned for its dynamic blend of entertainment and education, proved to be the perfect platform for ERL to showcase its interdisciplinary projects and engage with a diverse audience. From curious students to families, visitors of all ages were transported to the depths of rainforests by our drones collecting animal DNA for biodiversity monitoring!

Embark on a journey to new heights at the "Environmental Robotics Lab" of ETH Zurich. Their newly developed specialized drone allows you to collect environmental DNA from previously inaccessible treetops. Discover the challenges of the rainforest with Emanuele. The robot is also a skilled detective, it can identify and treat pests and pathogens before the damage becomes visible. Swing by and learn more about the potential of environmental robotics.
