A new lab member joined the ERL in August
Luca Girardi recently started his PhD at ERL. Luca is developing a new generation of soft morphing drones. This is a significant departure from current approaches to drone design that rely primarily on rigid frames and fixed shapes. By developing new design strategies and materials, Luca will investigate how softness can improve the resilience, versatility, and mobility of drones.
